Today I texted a friend the first few words of an awesome quote from the Infinity War trailer and she had no idea what I was talking about. At that point I realized I’m obsessed with the next Avengers movie that comes out in four and a half months. I’ve been watching the trailer every day since it was released about two weeks ago. Once I woke up and before brushing my teeth or even getting out of bed, I watched the trailer on my phone while my blanket was still covering me.
I love everything about the trailer – the music, the dialogue, the visuals, all the characters. It’s incredible how formidable Thanos comes across as.
Here are two of his quotes from the trailer:
“In time, you will know what it’s like to lose. To feel so desperately that you’re right, yet to fail all the same. Dread it. Run from it. Destiny still arrives.”
Next time I participate in any competitive event, I will say the above quote to my opponent.
“Fun isn’t something one considers when balancing the universe. But this… does put a smile on my face.”
While Thanos says this second quote, he forcefully removes an infinity stone out of Vision’s forehead, causing Vision to scream in agony.
Thanos also demolishes Spiderman in the trailer. First Thanos choke slams him and a few scenes later punches him so hard in the face that he hits the ground face first. I’m a little worried Spidey won’t be able to get up.
I am most concerned about Ironman and Captain America. They’re my favorite characters and I don’t want either of them to die. But if you’re going up against a formidable foe like Thanos, what are the odds of everyone making it out alive? There are certainly going to be casualties in an epic battle like this. It might not be believable if none of the heroes die in this movie. But I really hope Tony or Steve don’t die otherwise I will cry myself to sleep every night for as long as I live.
